Hand pain can be caused by a variety of factors, including injury, ergonomics or repetitive
motion syndrome. Hand therapy is a specialization for the treatment and rehabilitation of upper body injuries
or disorders.
The goal is typically to treat and resolve traumatic and soft-tissue injuries such as repetitive motion syndrome.
For example, if you've injured your wrist through repetitive motion, you're recovering from surgery on your
elbow, or you've had a work-related injury that involved your arms or shoulders, you may benefit from hand therapy.

with the other members of the team to perform the appropriate therapy. In most cases, a variety of techniques
are used throughout the course of treatment. In the case of hand therapy, additional techniques might include
manual therapy, myofascial release and
craniosacral therapy.
